Kids Canopy Favorites!

While a kids canopy bed is more expensive than a normal child’s bed, it can make a great addition to the room’s decor. A canopy bed is a very decorative piece of furniture and as long as you buy one that matches in color and style with the other furniture in the room, you are sure to have picked a winner.

While canopy beds do cost more than regular ones, it is possible to find these items at a decent price. In fact, J.C. Penney is presently selling a white one, without the canopy, for $119. This bed also comes with a drawer underneath; which is quite handy for storing children’s clothes and toys. The bed is made from hardwood and MDF.

Target is selling a Fairies Canopy Bed for only $80; the only downside to this beautiful girl’s canopy bed is that it is quite small and only suitable for a child from two to four years old. There are other larger canopy beds for sale at Target but they cost $300 on up. It should be noted that the above mentioned prices are from these stores’ online retail sites; if you look in the store itself you may find the items mentioned above cost a little bit more.  Try to get a folding canopy so that you can put it away easily when you don’t want it out.

There are also some online only retailers that sell canopy beds for children, and some of these places offer both a large selection and good prices too. ZEarth.com is presently selling a Powell Princess Rebecca Sparkle Silver Canopy Twin Size Bed, made from metal, which costs just a bit over $200, although you would have to pay for the shipping charges. SeventhAvenue.com is offering a Princess Canopy Bed; it is made from metal and can be bought in either pink or purple. It is quite decorative in style and would look very nice in any girl’s room. The twin size bed costs $150 while the full size bed costs $170.

Before you buy a kids canopy bed either online or at a regular retailer, there are a few things you should be aware of. The canopy bed will require assembly at home; it should come with instructions and should not be too hard to put together, although the beds are all different as they are made by different manufacturers. Some beds do not come with certain pieces shown in the photo, such as the cloth canopy, rails, mattress or bedding. Check the label carefully before purchasing the bed.
